CHARLTON PARK FLY FISHING SYNDICATE
Three miles of double bank brown trout fishing on the Tetbury Avon at Brokenborough near Malmesbury, Wiltshire.

THE FISHERY
The fishery runs through an unspoilt valley in private Estate land. The nature of the river itself is of natural stream fishing, with the benefits of many pools and shallow sections, offering very varied fishing.

FISH STOCKS 
We have a large head of native wild brown trout of a high average size. We stock with good quality, hard fighting rainbow trout at the start of the season to make the most of the April fishing. From May onwards, we stock only with 12-16 inch brown trout fish. We stock with only high quality local brown trout from April onwards together with a program using the Wild Trout Trust to promote the wild fish of the river. This is done by reed preparation to promote natural spawning as well as putting in Ova and Fry from local fish.

HATCHES 
The early fly life begins with hatches of winter olive and hawthorn fly, with the first mayfly appearing in the second week of May, continuing until mid July. The fishery also contains a large number of caddis.

FACILITIES
We have a fully equipped fishing hut, with its own fire and gas cooker. We also have 2 private car parks for the use of anglers.

THE SYNDICATE
The syndicate has been running in its current form since 1997, with approximately 20 members per year.
